Bridge Emergency Management

Rig watchstanders are the first line of defense when it comes to emergencies at sea. They need a clear understanding of emergency procedures and communication expertise in order to effectively mitigate an emergency when it arises.

Bridge Emergency Management

Before the arrival of the Master or Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), the bridge or control room team must be able to act “independently” and take immediate action when an emergency occurs without having guidance from command personnel.

This specialized training is designed for the Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO), Ballast Control Officer, Bridge/Control Room Operator (CRO), USCG licensed Third Mate and any other discipline whose requirements and judgement require bridge personnel to act immediately by responding to any emergency they are faced with. It teaches bridge team cooperation and functionality, bridge-to-drill floor coordination, action-oriented leadership skills, and provides a thorough indoctrination and testing of all emergency response plans.
